Kris Gimmy Reproduction Radios

This is a rare and very desirable Kris Gimmy reproduction NAMCO 601 radio. Kris Gimmy famously made a series of reproduction Catalin radios made from resin.  He was a master craftsman for sure. Most of his reproduction work was done in the 1990’s. He had radio collectors lined up to buy his radios.

The cabinet is in excellent condition and is free of defects including cracks, chips, hairlines, tube burns, repairs.  It measures 8" L X 5" H X 5" D.  A great size for display.

Other reproduction Catalin radios models he reproduced in resin included the Addison 2, Emerson AU190 & BT-245 Tombstones, Tom Thumb and reportedly others.  Each of these Gimmy radios are very rare, highly prized and expensive as a result. 

Mr. Gimmy was sued by the Namco Manufacturing Co. sued for copyright infringements. The parties settled the case with Kris Gimmy agreeing to put a label on the chassis ordered to place a sticker on the chassis stating the radio is a reproduction.

The chassis looks to be in nice condition and is sold as "Not Working".
