This radio is what radio collectors' dreams are made of. An ultra-rare Motorola 9R console phonograph radio console that is 100% Complete and Original. This is an elusive model because only a handful of them are known to exist.

The circular cabinet design with its original wooden round back is in a class by itself.  It is Art Deco personified. This console is for serious radio collector only. The demand and value of most tube console radios have diminished greatly, but not the Motorola 9R. It is only 3' 4" height and only 18" in diameter.   

The cabinet finish is original. Many years ago, a prior owner applied a coat of varnish that has darkened over the years. There are two cabinet issues to address. There is a 2"X3" area on the right side and missing veneer on the top right side on the removable back panel.

All of the tuning knobs are original. The grille cloth needs to be replaced

The original 78 RPM automatic changed has been switched out years ago. The original  chargers are often found available.  When the 78 RPM albums became obsolete, owners at that time wanted to play 45 RPM and 33 1/3 RPM. We have the model number of the original automatic changer.  

Before operating this radio, it is strongly recommended that you have an antique electronics specialist examine and restore the chassis before plugging it in.
