FADA 1000 "Bullet" Catalin Radio Blue Swirl and Butterscotch Restoration

Results of Catalin Radio Restorations 

This FADA 1000  Blue Swirl and Butterscotch Catalin radio was sent to our shop for a complete cosmetic restoration. The cabinet had substance crack damage that was repaired poorly by the prior owner. There were numerous cracks that in the aggregate measure 17" long (431.8mm). The repairs were very apparent because they were a dark color with a width of 0.20" wide.  See Before picture #5. 

The restoration results are spectacular.

This restoration took much longer than the typical "Cut and Polish" Cosmetic restoration. The restoration here involved airbrush "Artwork" to conceal the repair scars and then top coated so the restoration will age evenly.
