FADA 1000 "Bullet" Butterscotch and Alabaster Catalin Radio Restoration

Results of Catalin Radio Restorations 

This FADA 1000 All Butterscotch Catalin radio was sent to our shop for a complete cosmetic restoration. It arrived with a drab and monochromatic appearance. We recommended the best way to restore this radio and give it a dramatic appearance was to "Cut" the handle and dial bezel to Alabaster and keep the rich tone of the cabinet's butterscotch patina.  

The restoration results as you can see are stunning.

The restoration is a multi-stage process from Wet/Sanding to the application of finish waxes.  This high-gloss finish is embedded in Catalin material itself.  There was not clear glossy top-coat used.  It was done the "Old School" way.
