This Tiffany Tone Phonograph/Radio Console is as rare as they come.  We suspect the rarity is caused by the same reason why the Motorola 9R Phonograph and radio Cylindrical cabinet console is so rare.

Radio manufactures, at the time, did not have their own cabinet shops and outsources their cabinet manufacturing to well known  furniture makers. The furniture makers struggled in the production process of both cylindrical cabinets.

Construction labor time, material waste, inconsistent quality and failure to meet delivery requirements plaqued these stunning radios. The Motorola 9R is documented as being discontinued after a very short run and we suspect the Tiffany Tone R 66 MT suffered the same fate. So they were rare from the start!
