FADA 1000 Alabaster and Dark Butterscotch Catalin Radio Restoration

This FADA 1000 All Butterscotch Catalin radio was sent to our shop for a complete cosmetic restoration. It arrived with a drab and monochromatic appearance. We recommended the best way to restore this radio and give it a dramatic appearance was to "Cut" the cabinet to alabaster and contrast that color with rich butterscotch.

The restoration is a multi-stage process from Wet/Sanding to the application of finish waxes.  This high-gloss finish is embedded in Catalin material itself.  There was not clear glossy top-coat used.  It was done the "Old School" way.
