Catalin Radio Restorartion Magic

  • Before Restoration

    Here is a RCA 9TX5 "Little Nipper" Catalin radio that was delivered to our shop. It was heavily clad in dark patina from oxidation and UV damage plus years of built up dirt and grim.

  • After Restoration

    Once all of the patina was removes, it turns out to be a gorgeous cabinet with heavy swirling and a 3D translucent top. The restoration type was "Old School". It is a "Cut and Polish" restoration requiring mutiple steps to achieve a smooth, clear and high gloss finish. 

  • Before Restoration-

    We received this radio with significant cabinet damage that was previously repaired leaving wide dark repair scars on the display sides. The total length of the repaired cracks is 17" (431.8mm)

  • After Restoration-

    The completed restortion of this blue Swirl FADA 1000 Catalin radio. The customer's feedback was:
